With the opening of Amí daily, entrepreneurs Malou Hagenaars (32) and Jasper Verhagen (35) will add to Breda’s culinary landscape at the end of November 2026. Tucked away in the courtyard behind their successful Amí Bistro on Ginnekenstraat, an exclusive delicatessen, shop and lunchroom all in one is taking shape at number 88 B. Soon, guests will be able to visit not only for high-quality delicacies and luxury items for the table, but also for an excellent cup of coffee, pastries and a light lunch.

Tasteful luxury at Amí daily | Including madeleines and vanilla ice cream from the bistro’s own kitchen

The range features a selection of top gastronomic products, including caviar, pâté, charcuterie, premium tinned fish, olive oils, coffee and the renowned fresh butter from Maison Bordier. Homemade sauces, soups, madeleines and vanilla ice cream from the bistro’s own kitchen are also available, as are wines from the bistro’s list by the bottle and gift boxes from champagne houses such as Veuve Clicquot and Ruinart. There is also high-quality tableware: porcelain from Bernardaud, linen from Verilin and sommelier knives from Code38.

Intimate lunchroom | Enjoy a lobster roll or okonomiyaki

Guests can settle in for coffee and pastries, or for lunch dishes and luxury sandwiches such as a lobster roll or okonomiyaki. The space can also be hired for private tastings of up to ten people.

Malou Hagenaars: “With Amí daily, our guests not only take the familiar feeling of Amí Bistro home with them, but Breda also gains a unique gastronomic destination where accessibility and luxury come together seamlessly.”

Warm, homely and elegant

The interior was designed by ZOUT Ontwerphuis of Oisterwijk, which also designed the bistro. Oak, natural stone and Italian lighting create a warm, homely and elegant atmosphere, with a generous natural stone bar as its centrepiece. The entrance is on the intimate inner courtyard, where a small terrace beckons in summer.

Jasper Verhagen: “Just as in the bistro, we want to give the feeling that you are at home with us. Amí daily is a real enrichment, but our foundation and focus remain firmly with the bistro. Our bistro guests can continue to rely on the same top quality and personal service they are used to from us.”

Opening in November 2026

Iris Schot will become a regular face at Amí daily. A cheese specialist, she spent many years working as a hostess and fromager in top-end gastronomy. Many guests already know her from Amí Bistro, where she works at weekends. Together with Malou and Jasper, she will run the business. The opening is planned for the end of November 2026, just in time for the festive month of December. Amí daily will then be open during the day from Wednesday to Sunday. The website will go live at the end of October, as part of the Amí Bistro website.
