On Saturday, September 19, COBRA HOUSE welcomes a very special guest to its kitchen. For one exclusive evening, three-Michelin-star chef Viki Geunes (Zilte***) will leave his own restaurant behind to join chef Orlando Schuitema at COBRA HOUSE for a unique four-hands dinner: Viki Geunes × Orlando Schuitema. The wine pairing will be presented in collaboration with the iconic Spanish winery Marqués de Murrieta.

A three-Michelin-star chef cooking at COBRA HOUSE makes this a truly special four-hands dinner. One of the highlights of the evening will be a jointly created main course, symbolising the collaboration between both restaurants.

Viki Geunes × Orlando Schuitema | One kitchen, one menu, one service on September 19

Three-Michelin-star chef Viki Geunes has long been a loyal guest at COBRA House. Both COBRA and COBRA HOUSE have been among his favourite dining destinations in Antwerp for years. He regularly dines there, hosts team dinners, and shares his appreciation for the restaurant with his staff. That friendship has now evolved into a collaboration with Orlando Schuitema that goes far beyond a traditional four-hands dinner.

Viki Geunes steps outside the fine dining world for the first time

After collaborating with numerous internationally acclaimed chefs in previous four-hands dinners, Geunes is now deliberately challenging himself in a completely different setting. This marks the first time he is cooking outside the context of fine dining, discovering how his cuisine translates to the spontaneous atmosphere and vibrant culture of COBRA HOUSE.

The refinement and technical precision of a three-star kitchen will meet the bold, creative energy of COBRA, a place that is as much a cultural hub as it is a restaurant. The result will be a menu where both culinary identities come together while remaining true to themselves.

“Antwerp has everything today,” says Viki Geunes. “From traditional cafés to world-class gastronomy and restaurants where chefs themselves love to dine. That’s what makes this city so exciting. I’m looking forward to cooking in a completely different environment for a change.”

The line between fine dining and accessible gastronomy continues to blur

Over the past few years, COBRA has become a popular meeting place for chefs, sommeliers, and food lovers, while the opening of the much larger COBRA HOUSE last year further strengthened its position. This reflects a broader trend within the culinary world, where the distinction between fine dining and more accessible gastronomy is becoming increasingly blurred.

Where different culinary worlds once existed side by side, chefs are now embracing collaboration and dialogue. Throughout the evening, both kitchens will alternate courses, while one main course will be created together as a symbol of the partnership between the two restaurants.

Wine experience by the iconic Spanish winery Marqués de Murrieta

The wine pairing will be equally exceptional. In collaboration with the renowned Spanish winery Marqués de Murrieta, guests will be guided through the selection by a representative from the winery together with Zilte sommelier Aaron Moeraert. The evening will also feature several rare and exceptional wines, including older vintages.

In true COBRA HOUSE style, the evening will celebrate craftsmanship, music, and enjoyment. Live jazz will provide the soundtrack, and, of course, no COBRA event would be complete without exclusive merchandise created especially for the occasion. Like the very best evenings, this one is not meant to be repeated. On Saturday, September 19, Viki Geunes and Orlando Schuitema will share one kitchen, one menu, and one service. Afterwards, only the memories will remain.
