The spritz is no longer just a seasonal one-hit wonder on the cocktail menu. Especially as summer approaches, demand continues to grow for light, fruity and refreshing serves that suit sunny moments and busy days in hospitality. Koninklijke De Kuyper is responding to that demand with a new De Kuyper Batched Spritz range for the hospitality sector. From week 25, De Kuyper Elderflower Spritz and De Kuyper Limoncello Spritz will be introduced in the Netherlands, available in a 100cl Batched Cocktail bottle and a 20-litre KeyKeg. In addition, De Kuyper is launching an Orange Spritz, available exclusively in KeyKeg format.

The global spritz and aperitif category continues to grow

The global spritz and aperitif category continues to expand, driven in part by a shift towards earlier drinking occasions and beverages with a lower alcohol content. While bitter flavours originally put the category on the map, consumers are now increasingly looking for fresh, fruity and floral variations. Consumer research shows that 74% of consumers are open to spritz variations, with limoncello and elderflower among the favourites. With these new introductions, De Kuyper is responding directly to that demand with De Kuyper Elderflower Spritz, De Kuyper Limoncello Spritz and De Kuyper Orange Spritz.

The new serves have been developed for bars and restaurants that want to expand their cocktail menu without adding extra complexity behind the bar. The 100cl Batched Cocktail bottle and 20-litre KeyKeg offer a scalable solution that allows hospitality venues to serve high-quality spritz cocktails quickly and easily. No measuring is required: bartenders simply mix the batched liquid with sparkling water over ice. The result is a perfectly balanced, fruity spritz served within seconds. The solution also helps optimise margins, as there is no need for fresh prosecco that may lose its sparkle.

De Kuyper Batched Spritz range has been developed to make life easier for our hospitality partners

According to Lucien Heusy, Global Sales & Distribution Director at De Kuyper, the range was developed to help hospitality partners respond to the growing demand for fruity spritz flavours. It allows them to expand their menu with ease and serve guests a premium spritz quickly during the busy summer season.

De Kuyper Elderflower Spritz, De Kuyper Limoncello Spritz and De Kuyper Orange Spritz have been available in the Netherlands for the on-trade since week 25. More information and serving recommendations can be found via the website of Koninklijke De Kuyper.
