ASTER at ’t Kadaster in Ostend | Pop-up restaurant by chef Túbo Logier
This summer, chef Túbo Logier, known for the Brussels-based restaurant ASTER, will open a temporary pop-up in Ostend. From early June through the end of August, he will bring his ingredient-driven cuisine to the Belgian coast. In doing so, he also returns for a while to the region where he grew up (Gistel). The pop-up, ‘ASTER at ’t Kadaster’, opens on June 3 at ’t Kadaster, located at Alfons Pieterslaan 39 in Ostend, and will run through the end of August.

Pop-up restaurant ‘ASTER at ’t Kadaster’
ASTER in Brussels closed its doors in April. The Ostend pop-up therefore marks a temporary new chapter between two projects. After the summer, Logier will begin working on an entirely new concept in Brussels, with more details to be announced later this year.
Following the success of ASTER in Brussels, where Logier gained widespread recognition for his tasting menus focused on local fish, vegetables and wood-fire cooking, he is consciously choosing a different setting this summer. In Ostend, the proximity of the sea plays an even more direct role, with a menu that evolves daily based on the catch and the season.
The pop-up presents a seasonal, fire-based cuisine focused on local fish, seafood and vegetables. The kitchen remains true to Logier’s recognisable style: precise yet intuitive, technically refined without excess, and deeply rooted in product quality and flavour balance. The setting reflects the same philosophy. Expect a relaxed and understated atmosphere that complements the coastal feel of the location, with the focus entirely on product and experience.
