‘Special Happens…’-experiences within the theme ‘In the Wild’
Under ‘In the Wild’, guests are invited to connect with nature through unique adventures. Fairmont Beijing offers an exclusive helicopter tour over the Great Wall of China, paired with a luxury stay and curated dining. In Canada, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge presents an Indigenous-led helicopter and foraging journey through the Rockies, ending with a chef-prepared dinner. Meanwhile, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club introduces the Acacia Horizon Experience, combining a guided nature walk with wildlife viewing and a private dining moment in the Kenyan highlands.
The After Dark category
The After Dark category focuses on evening experiences. At Fairmont Wuhan, guests can visit the historic Yellow Crane Tower dressed in traditional Hanfu, enhanced by a light and sound show. Fairmont Tazi Palace Tangier offers a one-time “Evening Under the Solar Eclipse” on August 12, featuring live jazz and themed cocktails. In Scotland, Fairmont St Andrews hosts a celestial overnight experience with stargazing, private dining, and rare whisky tastings.
Signature nighttime offerings remain available, including Spa Under the Stars in Sonoma and The Traveler’s Reset at Fairmont Mumbai, a wellness program combining advanced recovery therapies with traditional rituals.
In the Spotlight highlights
In the Spotlight highlights cultural immersion. Guests at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace can access the private chalet of Claude Nobs, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival. In India, Fairmont Jaipur offers a day trip to a rural village with artisan workshops and community interactions. In Fairmont Marrakech, a popular experience includes a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Atlas Mountains followed by a guided exploration of the medina.
Around the Table experiences
Finally, Around the Table celebrates culinary experiences. In Seoul, Fairmont Ambassador Seoul offers a K-culture-inspired proposal with a six-course private dinner. In Hawaii, Fairmont Kea Lani combines foraging, canoeing, and a beachfront feast rooted in local traditions, while Fairmont Orchid delivers a “bean-to-bar” chocolate journey from cacao farms to spa treatments.
With these new and existing experiences, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its focus on authentic, immersive travel, encouraging guests to connect more deeply with each destination.

Special Happens… – experiences at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
Although a ‘random act of kindness’ is something different we think we experienced a ‘Special Happens…’-experience at Fairmont San Francisco way back. You can read about it in a blog by Marjolein van Spronsen.
