First sweetened, lactose-free whipped cream for the foodservice

Milram is the first brand to introduce a sweetened, lactose-free whipped cream for the entire foodservice market. The dairy brand, originally from Germany and active in the Netherlands since last year, is setting a new standard in an established whipped cream category. After intensive development, the result is a product that meets the needs of chefs as well as the demands of a changing market. Thanks to its lactose-free formula, the whipped cream is broadly applicable.

Affordable German top quality

Milram positions itself in the Netherlands with a strong value-for-money proposition: premium German quality at a more competitive price. According to Marketing Lead OOH Maarten Ploos van Amstel, the product matches competitors in terms of quality, easy to use and packaging, while offering a more attractive price. Development was supported by extensive market research, including data analysis, a professional chefs panel and close collaboration with users in professional kitchens.

Designed for professional kitchen needs

This research revealed an opportunity for a high-quality sweetened, lactose-free whipped cream that combines convenience with a broad applicability. The result is a whipped cream with 32% fat and a sugar content of 9%, slightly below the market average. By adding the natural enzyme lactase during production, lactose is broken down into glucose and galactose, allowing for less added sugar without compromising taste. This aligns well with the growing trend toward reduced sugar consumption.

Ideal for pastry, desserts and coffee

The whipped cream offers a stable structure and excellent firmness, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from pastry and desserts to coffee. For optimal results, the cream is whipped by the user and is compatible with various whipped cream machines. It is supplied in practical, stackable 1-litre cartons.
