IPGAY | Tropical summer beer and a statement for visibility

Queer Beer launched IPGAY, a tropical IPA with notes of passionfruit, citrus, and peach — perfect for summer and Pride Amsterdam (this weekend is the canal parade). With its vibrant design, IPGAY stands as a symbol of queer visibility and acceptance. For every can sold, €0.10 is donated to the Aidsfonds, supporting LGBTQIA+ rights worldwide. The accompanying campaign, “IPGAY – On the Way,” highlights that queer visibility still takes courage. IPGAY is now available via the webshop and during Pride at various hospitality venues including De Veganees, NDSM Cafe, Fred’s Little Beershop, Café de Spuyt & TAPZUID. A refreshing beer with a powerful message: celebration and protest go hand in hand. More information via the Queer Beer website (linked in the title) or in our earlier post.

Glitter Lunches and The Jollof Club at The Hoxton on Herengracht in Amsterdam

This summer, Lotti’s at The Hoxton on the Herengracht in Amsterdam is buzzing with events that feel like mini getaways. At Lotti’s bar, it’s all about wine, music, and urban energy. Boozy Lotti (August 2) kicks off Pride with a glitter-filled brunch featuring Bellinis and exclusive goodies. The Jollof Club (August 7 through September) brings refined West African cuisine by chef Nicolas Aquaa. And every Friday and Saturday night, Lotti’s DJ Nights wrap up the week with afro, house, and disco beats. A summer of flavour, style, and music — right in the heart of Amsterdam. For more details and reservations, check out their website via the link in the title.

The Eden Suite at Le Bristol Paris | A sanctuary dedicated to wellness luxury

Le Bristol Paris unveiled the Eden Suite, a lush 6th-floor sanctuary celebrating the hotel’s centenary. Opening onto a hidden garden terrace, the suite blends nature, refined design, and bespoke wellness. Its highlight: a private glass-enclosed spa with a hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, and massage area. Reflecting Le Bristol’s vision of contemporary wellbeing, this serene space is just the beginning. Soon, the Eden Suite will join the Azur Suite and other rooms to form a 1,500 m² private domain, making it the largest suite in any Parisian palace. A transformative wellness journey awaits at the very top of Paris. Bristol Paris is part of the Oetker Hotels. Check out the great images in their press release, link the title.

‘Une collab gourmande’ between Deliveroo × French Bandit’s | Order a meal for yourself and receive a pet toy

A French press release, link in the title, but we love the collab! If you order a pizza from Chez Tripletta in Paris, via the Deliveroo app, your dog gets a toy in the form of a pizza slice by the French pet lifestyle brand French Bandit, free of charge. With a sandwich from Land&Monkeys comes a baguette toy and an ice cream from Mann’el Glace also has via the Deliveroo app, customers receive a coordinating French Bandit pet toy. A limited-edition offering or ‘Une collab gourmande’ as the French call it! Deliveroo and French Bandit are targeting pet owners from August 4th–17th.

Glacerie Enzo & Lily Libre in Paris | Spectacular ice cream flavours by Lionel Chauvin

This looks like a true French edition! We spotted some spectacular ice cream creations at Glacerie Enzo & Lily, located at 2 Rue Auguste Maquet in Paris, as featured on the Instagram of Paris Secret (see below). Their menu includes daring ice cream flavours like: Hot Dog, Bouillabaisse, Jambon Buerre, Glace Frîtes Fraiches and many more. According to the owner, some flavours are intentionally a bit ‘fou’ (crazy). But they also offer more refined options that sound truly delicious, such as Pêche de vigne nougatine, Yaourt au Yuzu, Estragon (tarragon) and the one we’re dying to try: Fraise des bois blanche (white wild strawberry). Check out the full flavour list on their website in the link in the title or watch the Instagram reel below.

Subway® sends fans to their Happy Place | Immersive restaurant pop-up of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

On August 8, Subway and Netflix will transform a Santa Monica restaurant into a ‘Happy Place’, a dreamy world inspired by Happy Gilmore 2. Fans can relive iconic scenes, play minigolf, enjoy exclusive photo ops, and try the Happy Gilmore Meal featuring the Cold Cut Combo and All-American Club. The event runs from 12–7 p.m. at 1801 W. Pico Blvd. Admission is free with RSVP at SubwayHappyPlace.com. Guests can also enjoy beer in a country-club-style garden. The promotion celebrates over 1.6 million Happy Gilmore Meals sold across the U.S. and Canada.

A great family room at Shangri-La Singapore

A great example of a family room! Spotted at the Shangri-La Singapore, we absolutely love the Rocket Room. While we might suggest making the door a bit larger, it’s a fantastic and imaginative space designed especially for families with young children. We spotted it on the Instagram of Calvin Coyles — check out the reel below. The hotel’s website is linked in the title.
