3DEN (pronounced “Eden”) is the second generation of the ‘third place’ (a space that’s neither home nor work). A non-membership, pay-as-you-use destination, 3DEN offers convenient and luxury amenities including sound-proof phone booths, nap pods, a spacious lounge, refreshments, private showers and more. With a nature-inspired design that fosters ease and focus, it’s the third place between home and work where you can get things done and refresh for wherever you’re headed next. The 3DEN app allows guests to reserve amenities in advance, as well as purchase any of the products they discover while in the space. 3DEN’s first location opened inside Hudson Yards on March 15, 2019, with a network of additional locations launching throughout New York City this year.

The place can be used to get some work done or for example if you have time to fill between meetings, or if you just arrived in town after a long flight and need somewhere to freshen up before going to your office or a meeting.

The idea behind this pay-as-you-use urban spaces

Ben Silver founded 3DEN to address the inefficiencies he saw within physical locations and experiences for consumers. The amenities and experience that 3DEN provides have previously only been available through exorbitant membership fees, or contingent on purchasing products. With 3DEN, Ben is carving out an unique and differentiated category by introducing a first-of-its-kind space that provides an urban respite.               The nature-inspired design permeates the entire space, fostering ease and focus, and creating a haven for guests to escape and recharge.  It’s non-membership destination thus guests pay as they use the space ($6 / 30 minutes) and have access to all facilities and amenities. No contracts, no restrictions and non-exclusive.

The amenities

Providing an urban respite, 3DEN makes it as easy as possible for guests to utilize the space in a way that meets their needs, including: Casper nap pods for quick shut-eye, soundproof phone booths for important calls, spacious lounge with comfortable sofas and chairs, alcove seating with no distractions in sight, meditation room for a moment of zen, private showers, refreshments such as coffee, healthy food, and snacks and charging stations for all digital devices.

3DEN works with a number of notable brands to provide a functional, curated retail experience that meets the needs of the in-between moments of the day. At launch, 3DEN is working with amongst others, the following retail partners, Dirty Lemon (healthy + drinks), ISM (tools for modern work), Akua (plant-based cuisine made from sustainably harvested ocean seagreens), Mudwtr (organic, made from earth-grown ingredients mud drink) and all kind of personal amenities for in the showers.
