The healthy bowls fit perfectly with Schiphol’s goal to offer more variety, quality, and responsible choices. And M Social Hotel New York Downtown has opened, offering 569 rooms, their Beast & Butterflies signature restaurant, and a Metaverse experience connecting virtual and real worlds.

M Social Hotel New York Downtown opens as the new social hub of Lower Manhattan
M Social Hotel New York Downtown has officially opened, marking a new chapter for Millennium Hotels and Resorts after a major transformation and rebrand. The 569-room hotel offers sweeping views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, signature dining at Beast & Butterflies, and versatile next-generation meeting spaces. Designed by award-winning firm BHDM Design, the hotel’s interiors reinterpret the Financial District’s modern energy and iconic landmarks, including The Oculus and Charging Bull. Featuring bold, flowing architectural elements inspired by Lower Manhattan’s energy, the hotel blends Wall Street’s ambition with warm, vibrant design and sustainable materials, creating a dynamic, forward-thinking space that reflects the spirit of New York.
The hotel lobby has been reimagined as a communal hub for live music, art pop-ups, and cultural events, inviting guests and locals to connect. Beast & Butterflies, the property’s signature restaurant, serves modern Spanish tapas with a Manhattan twist, ideal for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. Guest rooms combine contemporary design with smart workspaces, custom art, and eco-friendly amenities.
Building on M Social Decentraland, the brand’s virtual hotel in the Metaverse launched in 2022, M Social now introduces the New York Edition. Inspired by the Downtown property design and social spirit. Guests and global audiences can explore a digital version of the hotel and connect with the M Social community from anywhere.
As part of this launch, players are invited to leap into a new interactive game. Taking on the role of the Beast, they’ll race through the bustling streets of New York, past iconic landmarks, collecting coins along the way. Participants stand to win attractive prizes, including special discounts on stays at M Social Hotel New York Downtown, bringing the virtual experience full circle into the real world.

Poké Perfect lands at Schiphol Plaza with its largest location yet
Poké Perfect opens its doors in Arrival Hall 1 at Schiphol Plaza, its biggest restaurant so far today, October 17. With 150 square meters and 74 seats in a brand-new space, the fast-casual concept offers a healthy alternative for travellers, airport staff, and visitors.
Founded in 2016 by brother and sister Gerrit Jan and Quinta Witzel, Poké Perfect now has fifteen locations across the Netherlands. The new opening is a collaboration with hospitality partner Vermaat Group. “Poké Perfect fits perfectly with the vision we share with Schiphol: offering fresh, healthy, and sustainable food for travellers and employees,” says Rob Peters, Managing Director of Vermaat Netherlands.
Arthur Reijnhart, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Schiphol Group, adds: “With Poké Perfect, we’re expanding our range at Schiphol Plaza with a modern, healthy food concept that aligns with our goal to offer travellers and employees more variety, quality, and responsible choices.”
