Tompoesje brings a cult classic to the party scene
A tompouce is a traditional Dutch pastry you’ll find at nearly every bakery in the Netherlands. Some eat it layer by layer, others squash it flat—everyone has their own way of enjoying it. But for those who’d rather toast than tinker, there’s now an alternative: Tompoesje, a shot that captures the familiar flavor of vanilla and puff pastry in liquid form. Tip from the makers: serve it ice-cold for the best experience.

Bright pink & playful | Pastry in a glass
With its bold pink colour and playful vibe, Tompoesje is made for hospitality venues and retailers looking to offer something different from the usual shot selection. “Tompoesje sparks curiosity, makes people smile, and instantly sets the mood,” says Eva, one of the creators. “You order it for fun, raise your glass because it’s funny, and remember it because it works.”
The Tompouce as a shot
The idea was born at a party. “We were experimenting with different shots,” Eva explains. “Suddenly, we tasted something that strongly resembled a tompouce. And that idea stuck.” What started as a joke turned into a bottle, and now, Tompoesje is popping up at parties, behind bars, and on store shelves.
About Tompoesje | A party starter for any occasion
Tompoesje comes in a 700ml bottle with 14% alcohol and is available through Dutch distributors like De Monnik Dranken, Sligro, and Anker Amsterdam Spirits. It makes an impression even before it’s poured, making it ideal as a conversation starter or a colourful addition to any drinks selection.
In bars, this pink shot is often served as a surprise element—but it also turns heads at the checkout or on a drinks shelf. With its approachable flavor and eye-catching bottle, Tompoesje is the drink that turns an ordinary night into a celebration.
The drink could have easily made it into our list of new summer drinks! Although we think, we will see Tompoesje all year round!
