This Valentine’s week, Montblanc and Claridge’s come together to celebrate the art of handwritten romance with ‘Love Letters from London’. To mark the launch of the new Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet writing instruments, Montblanc invites everyone to put pen to paper and share heartfelt messages with the people who make life meaningful. For the first time ever, the legendary Mayfair hotel Claridge’s partners with Montblanc to present ‘Love Letters from London’, appointing British artist and poet Charlie Child as Claridge’s first-ever Poet-in-Residence during the week leading up to Valentine’s Day (10th–13th February 2026).

Charlie Child is named poet-in-residence at Claridge’s for Valentine’s Week
Charlie Child will take up residence each afternoon in Claridge’s iconic Art Deco lobby, transforming the space into a Poet’s Corner. Here, he will compose unique, witty and deeply personal love notes, written by hand and posted directly into Claridge’s distinctive working letter box. Guests and visitors are also encouraged to participate by writing and sending their own letters, which will be posted free of charge throughout the week, allowing ‘Love Letters from London’ to travel anywhere in the world.
Claridge’s working letter box to send ‘Love Letters from London’
Claridge’s historic letter box has quietly witnessed moments of romance and history since the hotel first opened its doors in 1856. Over the decades, it has carried some of the world’s most meaningful correspondence, including declarations of love. A photograph of Audrey Hepburn, taken during a reception held in her honour at the hotel in 1953, sits above the letter box as a lasting symbol of elegance and timeless romance. For Valentine’s week, it will be renamed the Claridge’s & Montblanc Love Letter Box, reinforcing the spirit of ‘Love Letters from London’.

Montblanc Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Collection
The collaboration coincides with the launch of the Montblanc Meisterstück Romeo & Juliet Collection, inspired by one of literature’s greatest love stories. The collection includes the Romeo LeGrand and Juliet Classique Fountain Pens, each crafted with exquisite detail and symbolic design elements, alongside the iconic Meisterstück 149 Gold-Coated Fountain Pen. Complementing the writing instruments are the Romeo & Juliet Notebook and 2-Pen Pouch, designed to accompany moments of inspiration and expression.
