Scientist from the Tufts University (USA) designed a high-tech sticker that lets you know if the food is still edible. The sticker is edible itself and responds to chemical reactions in the product. The sticker can be scanned with a smartphone.
‘Get Your Sexy Back’ campaign is started in Singapore that informes the young behave and to drink responsibly. They use posters with QR codes that are attached on the street. The QR code brings curious passengers to the GYSB Facebook page where they can find responsible observations and events.
The new night café Bloemenbar has opened in Amsterdam. The decoration is homely and on the tables old-fashioned telephones are placed to connect with other tables. Soon it’s possible to order your drinks through fax.
The Canadian company SYSTEMATEKS creates adjustable and personalized systems. For the Interior Design Show in Toronto they designed a modular Eco-Bar. The Eco-Bar consists of a grid with removable panels that can be adapted in racks, cabinets or (transparent) panels. The bar is also equipped with solar panels that provide power and it collects rainwater to watering the plants.
Vitens designed a free app that indicates whether the water where you stay is drinkable or not. When the iOS app indicates that the water is not drinkable, you will get tips where to find clean water. The app works all around the world.
