Hoppit, a new dining-out search engine

Hoppit is the first site which provides a dining-out search engine which filters its results based on the ambience of restaurants. Based in Manhattan and currently available in 25 cities in the US, each restaurant in the Hoppit database is tagged with one of ten “vibes” or types of atmosphere. These include ‘classy & upscale’, ‘hipster’, ‘romantic’ and ‘cozy & quaint’, among others.

Stéfhan van der Sligte, a Dutch entrepeneur, has created the digital beer app. With the app guest do get a second beer for free and for participating pubs this should ensure more costumers. The app shows the pubs in the city where you can get a second beer for free. The guest chooses a pub and activates the beercode and shows this code by ordering.

‘The Spot of Jaffa’ is a lickable wallpaper, here installed in an elevator. Inspired by Willy Wonka, Chef Heston Blumental and artist Damien Hirst created this wallpaper. Employees of Engine, a communications company in London, tried the first wallpaper of McVities Jaffa Cakes in their elevator. The wallpaper consists of flavored stickers that are removed and replaced after a lick, a responsible task for the elevator attendant. We want a wall like this!
