Chef cook Julien Piguet and his team will provide a complete boat experience on the canals by serving their dishes aboard. The ‘Bluespoon on Board’ menu includes salads, sandwiches, appetizers, mains and desserts. You can order via the website, phone or email and the order can be picked up at the restaurant after 30 minutes.

During the summer at Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp a Slip N Fly pool party is organized (23-24 August). The broccoli season will be opened on 31 May and fresh Dutch broccoli will be auctioned at central locations in Amsterdam in collaboration with Dutch growers. From 31 May to 11 June FoodGuerrilla will organize surprising guerrilla campaigns like a broccoli pop-up diner in the ‘Geef café’ or sampling at railway stations. The campaign ends with the presentation of the Golden Broccoli, a price for a farmer/grower in the Netherlands that uses the smartest marketing possibilities to sell his broccoli.
CHIO Rotterdam opens in cooperation with Oseven pop-up restaurant Schoufour, located in the Grandstand CHIO building in Rotterdam. The pop-up restaurant will be open from 15 to 24 May. The menu contains a range of dishes that also will be served during the 66th edition of CHIO Rotterdam. CHIO Rotterdam is a renowned and international equestrian event which takes place from 18 till 22 June. Restaurant Schoufour will also be opened during the event, a part of the current menu will be served in Brasserie Top Gun as well.
Star chef François Geurds is looking for the best barbecue master of the Netherlands and organizes a barbecue contest on the terrace of FG Food Labs on 3 August. Ten amateur cooks will compete with each other and they will cook out of a mystery-box on the Big Green Egg (barbecue) for ten guests. These guests will also judge the dishes without knowing who prepared the dish. The winner can call himself FG BBQ Champ for one year and will receive the Big Green Egg.
Friedjof Kempenaar initiated a vega pop-up restaurant in Rotterdam on 11, 12 and 13 April and is now aiming for our capital. Although he is not a vegetarian, he is intrigued by cooking without fish and meat and is convinced that the available vegan dishes in restaurants deserve an uprgade. The most northern part of North Holland gets its own local market under the name of ‘De Kroon van Holland’ (translated as The Crown of Holland) on 3 and 4 May . For tasty snacks from the region, local gems and local quality produce visitors can go to Anna Paulowna. During the weekend there are several demonstrations and workshops. There is for instance a BBQ workshop by Andy McDonald from ‘Echte Stokers’ in Schagen, Andrea van Lieshout teaches you how to create delicious dishes with Texel Asparagus and Ans van den Burg shows how to make real Wieringer Shrimp croquettes. Ten top chefs from ten restaurant in The Hague will serve ten dishes at Michelin star level, in combination with music and a food market. Participating restaurants are: Zwetheul, Savelberg, Calla’s, Hanting, Brasserie NL, Savarin, Villa la Ruche, Des Indes, Pearl and Brasserie Brut. On 5 May people in Amsterdam eat together during the “Freedom meals”. In restaurants, parks, homes and on the streets of Amsterdam thousands of citizens share tables. Various organizations and initiatives connect people through food. There are five StreetDinners organized by Bite Me throughout the city, where fifty volunteers cook in ten kitchens and collectively serve it for the visitors of these local events. Sociallab, a digital marketing agency in Greece placed a vending machine with the name ‘Greek Mama’ in a large shopping mall in Athens. ‘Greek Mama’ is known for her wisdom she knows best, so you’d better listen to what she says. Visitors of the shopping mall got the change to meet the ‘Greek Mama’ in person. The vending machine had a dozen quotes to encourage people to play along. The only thing they had to do; obey the orders of the vending machine and they would get a free vitamin drink.
