The first Starbucks store in Rome has opened

We were kind of surprised to read the press release of the opening of the first Starbucks store in Rome. Although we all know that the Italians love their espresso, ristretto and cappuccino, which are often described as the best coffees in the world, we thought there would be more stores already. But they’re going fast now: at the end of May they will also be opening two new stores in Roma Termini Station.

COBRA opened its doors in the heart of Antwerp last week, bringing atmosphere, style and a huge terrace to Leopoldplaats. Expect a stylish bar with top-level dishes you can combine and share. And no less than two large terraces on one of the sunniest spots in town. Cobra is open and ready to welcome its guests!
Vineria NEBBIOLO | An unique new wine bar that serves 450 Italian wines

Opening – On 15 April 2023, entrepreneurs Jouke de Bruin and Jasper Borggreven opened their Vineria NEBBIOLO in Baarn. With a range of 450 only Italian wines, the wine bar is unique for the Netherlands. The establishment is also distinguished by its beautiful designed interior and their Italian cuisine with creative homemade snacks and dishes.
Here you can probably taste some really great Italian wines and with a fixed surcharge per wine it remains affordable!

Nagano sake roadshow | Sake tastings in Belgium

The Nagano prefecture in Japan is sending a delegation to Belgium in May to teach those interested about sake for two weeks. Sake and Japanese cuisine are becoming increasingly popular in fine dining and trendy restaurants in Belgium, but few people actually know what sake is. In collaboration with the local Japanese government and Belgian sake importer Kaori, a Japanese brewmaster and sake expert from the Nagano prefecture will give tastings, workshops, and training for two weeks. If you’re quick, you can book a spot at participating restaurants DIM Dining, Zuru Zuru, Chef Yoshi, Nikoniko, and Tanuki, but CRU and Filliers are also ready to host the Nagano sake roadshow.

An extremely fruitful season has led to an abundance of 64,000 bottles of wine at the nuns of the Sint Catharinadal monastery in Oosterhout (small city in the south of the Netherlands). To market this Sint Catharinadal wine, the nuns have enlisted the help of an old friend: Thibaud van der Steen of Breda’s No Waste Army.
