Opening – W Hotels Worldwide, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, prepares to debut in Greece on August 11th with the opening of W Costa Navarino. It’s difficult to translate a word joke in another language but we will try to, restaurant ‘t Noorden in Aalten, a rural location in the Achterhoek region in the East of the Netherlands celebrates a Burgundy weekend but calls it Boergondic – (boer is the Dutch word for farmer). Back to Boergundy – A weekend with the best of two years of Boergundy on a brand new terrace and an incredible holiday setting. Delicious beers, wines and Boergondic snacks with live music. The Boergondisch Weekend takes place on 12, 13 and 14 August 2022 on the Boergundy holiday terrace at ‘t Noorden. Enjoy the healthy Farmer’s common sense!
Summer theatre at hotel Kapellerput

Theatre agency Damen en de Heer will organise a series of open-air theatre performances at hotel Kapellerput this summer. It’s the second year for this summer theatre and all performances will take place in the outdoor theatre of Kapellerput. On six Saturday evenings during the summer holidays, various artists will be on stage with a diverse programme. The first performance takes place this Saturday, July 23.

The ‘Zwarte Cross’ is a famous festival in the East of the Netherlands which will take place from July 14 untill the 17th. “A Zwarte Cross (Black Cross) with zero anti-social incidents, I would really consider that a nice farewell gift!” That was Tante Rikie’s (Auntie Rikie’s) response when asked if she had any wishes for her 25th (and last!) year as festival director. Tante Rikie and her organization almost have a perfect score concerning good atmosphere at the unique festival, but there are still some visitors who just do not understand the festival and the hospitality of the Achterhoek region. There is always a small group of assholes (on the 229,500 visitors) responsible for vandalism, discrimination and (sexually) violent behavior. Therefore, now a call for this minority: Sell your ticket on TicketSwap and stay home!

An establishment where you don’t have to go into town after dinner, because you can continue the evening with cocktails and live entertainment. Recently chef Peter Lute and his wife Marieke opened GREEN Gastrobar in the Valley building in Amsterdam South. Together with Molteni&C they host THE SKYNIGHT, every Friday from 19.00 until midnight. Enjoy an amazing 360° sunset over Amsterdam from the penthouse of architectural masterpiece Valley. While enjoying the finest drinks and surprising vegetarian culinary creations of GREEN. With weekly live music and limited seating. Where exclusivity is really exclusivity and the attention to the guest is un-Amsterdam. Enjoyment on a grand scale in stylish, sophisticated surroundings.
We checked the vibes at this new international hotspot! Our colleague Leonie van Spronsen, who lived in New York for several years, compared it to Restauration Hardware located in the Meatpacking District. Although the view from the much higher Valley Building is certainly better.
BrewDog Waterloo in London opens August 18
