This summer, Antwerp gains a truly special terrace. Grand Café Horta is teaming up with Veuve Clicquot to open a temporary rooftop terrace above one of the city’s most iconic hospitality venues. Throughout July and August, the rooftop of Horta is open to the general public, with champagne, bites, cocktails and DJ sets under the banner of beats, bites & bubbles. On the line-up: Buscemi, Phill Da Cunha, Sven Van Hees, Cherokee, Tony Talboom and Stefan Vranckx. Enjoy the summer at the Horta x Veuve Clicquot Rooftop Terrace, all through July and August.
The design of the Horta x Veuve Clicquot Rooftop Terrace is reminiscent of the beach clubs along the Côte d’Azur and other parts of southern Europe that are getting a summery takeover by well-known designers this year.

What makes this rooftop truly special is its location. The terrace is situated at the event hall of Horta, built around the impressive iron trusses of Victor Horta’s legendary Maison du Peuple. A space that normally serves as the backdrop for weddings, congresses, corporate events and private parties, but this summer temporarily opens its doors to anyone who wants to experience Horta in a whole new way.
For the summer fit-out, Horta joined forces with Veuve Clicquot. Visitors can enjoy Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label, Veuve Clicquot Rosé and Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame, alongside cocktails, mocktails and non-alcoholic alternatives. The menu is equally built around the spirit of summer aperitivo, with dishes such as lobster rolls, Zeeland creuses, shrimp croquettes, sushi, burrata with strawberry and basil, pata negra with melon, Horta Burger and blinis with caviar.
The Horta x Veuve Clicquot Rooftop Terrace officially opened on Thursday 2 July and is open throughout the summer on Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm to 9pm, Saturdays from 1pm to 9pm and Sundays from 1pm to 6pm. On every opening day, a DJ provides a relaxed summer soundtrack. Opening and opening hours are always subject to weather conditions; updates are shared via Horta’s Instagram channel.
A new spot in Antwerp for aperitivo, champagne and music
With this summery rooftop concept, Horta aims not only to create a new destination for aperitivo, champagne and music in the city, but also to introduce visitors to the grandeur of the event space above the Grand Café. Those who stop by this summer for a glass of Veuve Clicquot or a bite will also discover one of Antwerp’s most extraordinary hidden gems. Free entry via the Art Nouveau Hall entrance, subject to availability and weather conditions.
