Chocolate Hotel Suite opens its doors to the “sweetest person” in the world
Tony’s Chocolonely and The Social Hub, two leading B Corp brands committed to making the world fairer and more inclusive, have joined forces to create a chocolate-covered hotel room. But there’s a twist. A stay in the new chocolate pop-up suite at The Social Hub Amsterdam cannot be booked (or paid for). Guests can only stay there if they are nominated as the sweetest person in the world.

The winner will enjoy the most delicious sleepover of their life together with the person who submitted the nomination. The idea behind it is that our choices have an impact on others both in how we behave in life and in the chocolate we choose to consume.
Trix van der Vleuten, Chief Marketing Officer at The Social Hub, explains that the idea was developed from the belief that kindness deserves to be celebrated. “The world feels increasingly divided,” she says. “We are more digitally connected than ever before, yet loneliness is on the rise. Together with Tony’s, we wanted to show that ‘sweetness’ simple, human kindness matters more than ever, and that people can enjoy our products while also having a positive impact on society. Doing good feels good. Just like eating fairly produced chocolate and spending time with someone in a unique chocolate hotel suite. Just like Tony’s chocolate bars, this suite is designed to be shared. We can’t wait to reveal it, because it’s truly one of a kind.”
Starting today, Thursday, March 5, people in the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom can nominate candidates via The Social Hub’s Instagram account and Tony’s Chocolonely’s social media channels in these countries. The campaign closes on Thursday, March 12. One winner from each country will be selected by The Social Hub and Tony’s Chocolonely.
Chocolate Hotel Suite opens its doors to the “sweetest person” in the world
The Chocolate Hotel Suite will be unveiled on Friday, March 20, and will be open for ten days. Fans in Amsterdam will also get the chance to experience this special multi-sensory experience themselves on Sunday, March 29, from 1:00 PM (registration in advance via The Social Hub website).
To kick off the search, posters reading ‘Missing: the world’s sweetest person’ will appear in Amsterdam, Berlin and Glasgow from 5 March, inviting the public to nominate someone they think deserves this overnight stay. Nominate the world’s sweetest person on Instagram, and who knows they might win the sweetest sleepover ever.
