The menu of ‘Cakes & Cocktails Fit for a Queen’
Hosted in The Berkeley Bar’s pink-hued Snug, the experience blends couture cocktails, refined mocktails, and seasonal cakes, capturing the spirit of the most fashionable queen in history. The setting, complete with a mural by New York artist TM Davy, recalls the secretive glamour of Marie Antoinette’s Versailles court.
Created by Bars Manager Marcello Cauda, the menu highlights Manolo Blahnik’s favourite flavours alongside French-inspired indulgence. Signature serves include:
- Manolo’s Martini: Grey Goose vodka with bergamot, beeswax, and orange blossom – a nod to Antoinette’s ritual of bathing in orange blossom water.
- La Reine Privée: A decadent mix of toffee vodka, pisco, apricot, white chocolate, almond, and croissant air.
- The Versailles Spritz: A refreshing blend of vodka, Provence rosé, Lillet Blanc, jasmine, coconut, and berry cordial.
- La Dauphine’s Garden: A floral gin-based creation, also offered as a mocktail.
Each cocktail is paired with an exquisite, seasonal collection of cakes, reflecting both The Berkeley’s flair for hospitality and the Blahnik family’s love of hosting and cocktails. Manolo Blahnik himself praised the collaboration: “The Berkeley is a beacon of luxury in London, and I am delighted to celebrate our partnership with this exquisite collection of cakes and cocktails inspired by Marie Antoinette. It is a delicious way to bring her spirit of elegance, indulgence and creativity to life.”
