The foiling, electric shuttle ships of Candela will be deployed in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM

A fleet of foiling, electric shuttle ships is set to be deployed on the Red Sea. In a landmark deal, the Candela P-12, the world’s first electric hydrofoil ship, will service the planned water network in NEOM, the gigantic, sustainable development taking shape in Northwest Saudi Arabia. A video about NEOM can be found in this link. NEOM has procured an initial batch of 8 of the foiling, electric shuttle ships, making it the largest announced order in Candela’s history.

Reopening – On August 20th, The College Hotel on the Roelof Hartstraat in Amsterdam reopened its Bar & Bistro after an intensive renovation. Designer Piet Boon gave The College Hotel Bar & Bistro (as well as the rest of the hotel) a handsome new look and the kitchen has also been redesigned. Diners are welcome from morning till late at night – from coffee to cocktails and high tea to main course. And all with French elegance and a touch of Caribbean island vibes.

- Chiel Dohmen, owner of restaurant By Chiel in Zutphen, has been awarded the prestigious Gerrit de Kiewit Trophy of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Nederland.
