27 metres of sushi for guests at De Langste Tafel (The Longest Table)

On Wednesday 27 May, The Longest Table will take place at Oosterdok in Amsterdam, a charity dinner organised by Refugee Company and A Beautiful Mess. At an exceptionally long table, which is ultimately expected to stretch one kilometre, guests are invited for an evening of connection, shared dining and support for projects helping people with refugee backgrounds. One of the most eye-catching elements of the evening is a 27-metre sushi roll, prepared by DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station in collaboration with Sushi Time.

Cognac by Maison GAUTIER reinvents itself with a new design blending heritage and modernity

Although the official birth certificate of Maison GAUTIER dates back to 1755, following the founding charter signed by King Louis XV, the story of the House actually began a century earlier, in 1644. Charles Gautier, son of an oak merchant from the Tronçais forest, married Jacquette Brochet, daughter of a winegrower. From the meeting of viticultural expertise and oak craftsmanship, a new passion was born: the art of cognac-making. Over the generations, the House continued to grow, and in 1890 the family decided to settle in a former water mill on the Osme River, in the small village of Aigre.
