Twisting strands from the Savoy’s illustrious history into a fascinating cocktail narrative, the menu takes guests on a tour of the hotel through its legendary tales and extraordinary guests. From secret wartime bars, rooftop tap-dancing and extravagant gondola parties to luminaries such as Alfred Hitchcock, Katherine Hepburn and Tom Jones, the menu will be a celebration of some of The Savoy’s most captivating stories.

Showhero Hotel | 60 people with disabilities running a hotel in Alkmaar
On the 27th, 28th and the 29th of January a team of 60 men and women with disabilities provided the guests of the King’s Inn City Hotel in Alkmaar in the Netherlands a warm welcome. Under the guidance of the foundation Showhero and the regular staff of the hotel, the participants took care of all the tasks in the hotel and provided a good dose of entertainment.

Pop-up IGLOOS | On which rooftop terrace in the Netherlands next winter?
In London it’s possible to diner in pop-up igloo’s until the end of the winter at the Coppa Club. The pop-up structures host smaller groups (up to 8 people at a time) and are fully-heated. With as latest asset the rooms created by Thom Mayne and the other 63 newly designed hotel rooms which are created by other top architects. Truly the house of architects in Switzerland.

Artsy chairs for restaurants | no more art required
Haris Jusovic, graphic designer from Bosnia, created a serie of different chair designs inspired by daily used objects like shoes, telephones, basketballs and food. The last category has a cheary chair, banana chair but also Italian dishes chairs, chocolate and hazelnut chairs. If one would make the illustrations of this designer for commercial use the food ones would be great for restaurants.
