Wendy’s adds new Homestyle French Toast Sticks to sweeten up their breakfast line-up

Wendy’s® is eyeing straight A’s for its breakfast lineup this back-to-school season with the addition of its new Homestyle French Toast Sticks available in restaurants nationwide starting August 15. As the first sweet breakfast menu addition, this treat serves up syrupy goodness for fans looking for a flavourful way to start their morning – whether at home or on-the-go.
It looks a little like French fries for breakfast! Great idea? It also reminded us of bread sticks to dip in a soft egg.

DRAGTASTIC 4 will guide the SkyLaganza Drag Event during Pride Amsterdam. Drag Race Holland season 2 winner Vanessa van Cartier is accompanied by My Little Puny, Keta Minaj and Tabitha during the SkyLaganza Drag Queen Event. The event takes place during Pride Amsterdam on 3 August at SkyLounge Amsterdam, on ‘The PROUDEST Terrace’, the roof terrace on the 11th floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Central Station. During the month of August the hotel is committed to diversity and inclusiveness. This year Pride Amsterdam will take place from July 30 to August 7.

CITY ID continues European expansion with acquisition in the heart of Dublin. And ‘Bij Jef Restaurant & Hotel’ on Texel, a member since 2017 of Relais & Chateaux, was awarded five stars, the highest number of stars possible, by Hotel Stars. They are now not only the only restaurant near the Dutch Wadden Sea with a Michelin star, but also the only five-star hotel there.
DJ Franky Sticks designs the Duvel Designer Glass 2022

For the Duvel Designer Glass 2022, the latest edition of the Duvel Collection, Duvel collaborates with the illustrator and DJ Franky Sticks from Rotterdam. As far as he is concerned, it’s all about movement – whether it be waves of music, people on the dance floor or lines on a canvas. This is how Franky Sticks and Duvel found each other on the cutting edge of creation, experimentation and innovation. The new Duvel Designer Glass 2022 will be available as of 5 September and will be launched on Thursday 1 September during a jam session hosted by Franky Sticks in his beloved Rotterdam.

Annoncer kitchen management system signs partnership agreement with the Dutch Alliance Gastronomique

The developer and supplier of the Annoncer kitchen management system has signed a partnership agreement with the restaurant association Alliance Gastronomique. The agreement was signed on behalf of Alliance Gastronomique by chairman Gerard Wollerich and Annoncer managing director Madelon van Leenen.
Annoncer Kitchen management system has been developed by the Dutch company Index Hospitality Systems and is considered the most advanced system in the gastronomy sector. Orders arrive in the kitchen automatically and chefs have full control and overview of the tables and guests in the restaurant.

Recently chef Peter Lute and his wife Marieke opened GREEN Gastrobar in the Valley building in Amsterdam South. Together with Molteni&C they host THE SKYNIGHT, every Friday from 19.00 until midnight. Enjoy an amazing 360° sunset over Amsterdam from the penthouse of architectural masterpiece Valley. While enjoying the finest drinks and surprising vegetarian culinary creations of GREEN. With weekly live music and limited seating. Where exclusivity is really exclusivity and the attention to the guest is un-Amsterdam. Enjoyment on a grand scale in stylish, sophisticated surroundings.
We checked the vibes at this new international hotspot! Our colleague Leonie van Spronsen, who lived in New York for several years, compared it to Restauration Hardware located in the Meatpacking District. Although the view from the much higher Valley Building is certainly better.
BrewDog Waterloo in London opens August 18

Independent Scottish craft brewer BrewDog is pushing the boundaries with their upcoming 27,500 sq ft immersive craft beer destination in central London. For their largest ever bar, opening Thursday 18th August in the newly developed Waterloo Station, The Sidings. BrewDog are set to pull out all the stops.
