Food start-up GREENFORCE is launching a B2B platform this month to serve the hospitality industry in the Netherlands with its vegetable powder mixes in bulk packaging. With this development, they are responding to the demand from restaurant guests for more vegetable options on the menu. GREENFORCE offers the catering industry the opportunity to experiment with vegetable powder mixes. The sustainable mixes have a long shelf life, are packed with protein and are easy to customise: with the bulk mixes, restaurants can easily put a vegetable burger or meatball with their own twist on the menu. On the platform, restaurants and caterers can order the bulk mixes in burger, minced meat, meatball, egg, schnitzel and smear.

HosPETality | Examples of pet-friendly gestures

A couple of weeks ago we spotted the great term HosPETality and because we travel with our family & office dog, Labradoodle Jimmy, we spot a lot of examples of pet-friendly gestures. In hotels you have to pay a small fee for the dog but mostly you get a bowl, doggy pillows and if the dog is lucky, a treat! It already starts with the reservation, we booked a stay at a hotel in Spain and because we gave notice of our dog and asked them to book a table for dinner, they emailed us that they booked us a table at the terrace so Jimmy could accompany us for dinner. Just thoughtfull! We made a list of very great small gestures hotels and restaurants can implement.

Postillion Hotels help employees by paying off student debt

Postillion Hotels pays off the student debt of their employees with 2.50 euros per worked hour. This repayment is in addition to the regular salary of the employees. With this initiative, the hotel chain hopes to be able to take away some financial struggles so there is more room for growth and development. The initiative is the result of a graduation project by students of Hotel Management School Maastricht.

On Tuesday, the 16^th of August, Racepark Amsterdam at Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam will open its doors. With the recent opening of Racepark Uden-Veghel at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Teugel Uden-Veghel, this is the second location in a Fletcher Hotel. In this brand new Racepark you can race in advanced simulators on multiple kinds of racetracks and with different racing cars. The simulator recreates races into the smallest details, which makes guests feel as if they are really driving the circuit.

In order to attract new staff, Leonardo Hotels decided to throw out the edged rules and procedures and create the ideal hospitality job.
