People can now view the collection of the Rijksmuseum on Google. Through the website, people can view artwork and background information of over 1,000 works of 17 major museums in the world. Next to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, other museums, like The Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the palace of Versailles joined.
In Cancun, Mexico they are working on an underwatermuseum in the Caribbean Sea. The museum will be bult in the National Marine Park and consists of over 400 images at a depth of 3 to 6 meters. The initiator behind this underwater museum is Jason deCaires Taylor. The artist wants to show how the original Mexican people “the Mayas’, have developed over the years.
In The Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Restaurant The Robert openend on the top floor. Besides the modern décor and modern lighting and acoustics, the restaurant is overlooking Central Park and Broadway among others.
