With the Academy Program there is a special focus on bar personnel during the Amsterdam Bar Week this year. At the Double Tree by Hilton Skylounge are various seminars and taste sessions about bitters (John Fee), cognac (Mark Ridgwell) and world class cocktail makers.

The series, called ‘4 to 9ers’ is all about the daily events of some part-timers and takes place in a restaurant in a shopping mall. The series are specially developed for Subway and consist of 6 shows for now. The creator of the series is also known from the series ‘Two and a half men’.
Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria will open a new ‘women-only’ restaurant in Las Vegas, named She. Rain curtains and a catwalk will be the eye catchers of the restaurant. The restaurant will open its doors at a new years party.
The third edition of the Food4You Festival takes place from 3 until the 8th of October, organized in cooperation with institutions like Wageningen University, Hospital Gelderse Vallei and Rijn Ijssel professional school Wageningen. This knowledge festival is all about healthy and good food, with salt as main theme. This years invitation is totally in theme.
Beer brand Palm is challenging the Netherlands to show some creativity on a beer can. Scratch a can of Palm beer and send your design through Facebook. Palm will pick out the best design, which will be in store from next year. The winner wins a trip to London for 2 persons as well. Dutch tattoo-artist Henk Schiffmacher opened the contest by tattooing a beer can. Company SSSS & Orchestra developed this marketing campaign. Sending your design is still possible until the end of September.

More than fifteen home cooks joined forces to prepare a neighborhood dinner and take it to the Erasmuspark in Amsterdam on the 9th of September. 200 neighbors can experience each others kitchens from 14.00 to 18.00 o’clock.
These brilliant posters are designed by Renata El Dib and look like ice cream cones because of the double sided print.
