German artist Tobias Rehberger has made a copy pop-up bar of his favorite bar ‘Bar Oppenheimer Frankfurt’ in Hotel Americano New York . The pop-up bar has exactly the same proportions as the original bar in Frankfurt and contains the same furniture and details. The only difference is that each area of the pop-up bar is converted with black and white stripes and shades of red and orange. Tobias Rehberger is known for stripe patterns in his works. Inspired by the street stalls of Mexico, fresh, honest and simple Mexican dishes are prepared. Guests can compose their own burrito, burrito bowl, taco’s or nachos with a meat of veggie filling, salsa and toppings. All dishes are available for take-away. Barburrtio has been nominated for the Restaurant and Bar Design Award 2013.

The branches contain LED lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The tree holds 500 real apples, which visitors are encouraged to pluck. The shape of the tree provides shadow and is a great hang-out for visitors of the festival.
