On November 17th the Dutch bag designer Omar Munie opened a new store in Rotterdam. In this store he sells his bags and during the weekends a Bag & Tea is offered on the first floor of the building. During a high tea, the customers can search for the perfect bag. Munie wants to give his customers a relaxed feeling of being together. The menu offers sweets like cupcakes but also several savory dishes as quiche and sambusa.

Zij hebben een website gemaakt waar buren kunnen zien wie er kookt en wat er op het menu staat. Vervolgens kun je een verzoek indienen om bij deze persoon te eten. Mensen die koken voor meer personen dan alleen zichzelf krijgen dan korting op de energierekening.

Starbucks has teamed up with Yahoo and rolled out a digital network in the U.S.. In 6.800 Starbucks stores in the U.S. customers can visit online news sites that usually are not free of charge. The network consists of six channels: news, entertainment, wellness, business, careers, and a Starbucks channel. Besides the news, restaurant reviews, music and videos are also available. The network is suitable for a wide variety of devices such iPads, Blackberry, and Android phones.

Tweetjemee an online marketplace for chefs and people who enjoy food, launched October 10th. Local chefs can start their own ‘webtaurant’ on www.tweetjemee.nl. The idea is that you cook a number of meals and then sell them online to people in your neighborhood. People pay through www.tweetjemee.nl, the amateur-chefs each receive 70% of their sales, 10% goes to The Hunger Project and the rest of the money goes the website to improve the platform.

In March 2010 Ganz Ohr in Koblenz was organized for the third time. Authors read from their own work at extraordinary venues while appropriate music played. For each artist, an individual atmosphere was created. The Koblenz Tourist Office, and the bookstore Reuffel invited once again national and international writers, newcomers and renowned writers.
