De weirdest hotel room in the world is to be found at the Sala Silverminehotel in Sweden. Guests can sleep here 152 meter below the surface and the only way to get there is through the shaft. The hotel room cost €440,= euro per night, complete with a luxurious bed, silver furniture and champagne. Communication with the reception is only possible with an intercom, the temperature is a cozy 18 degrees due to a warm air bubble in the cave.

Users select a location, their friends, the time and send an invitation with the app. The selected friends will receive a message on their phone and let them know if they will attend or not. Disney took the first step towards the hotel industry by opening Aulani Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, which is a hotel outside the theme parks. The hotel covers an area of 21 acres and features over 800 rooms. The hotel offers several Disney ‘experiences’ like several swimming pools with activities such as diving and snorkeling, and a beach house which offers kids-entertainment. For the adults, the hotel offers a spa and several restaurants.

British kitchen chef Gorden Ramsay starts a new tv show called ‘Hotel Hell’. It’s based on his other show ‘Kitchen of Nightmares’. The show Hotel Hell focuses on hotels, motels and B&B’s. Mr Ramsay will work  together with a team of experts to assist these “hotels from hell”. The show will be broadcasted by Fox in the USA.  When will it be on tv in the Netherlands?
