The Lunch Beat movement was born in Sweden, in a garage located in the central part of Stockholm no more than two years ago. At an ordinary weekday,fourteen people danced together during their lunch break and loved it. Since then Lunch Beat has spread organically all across the globe, engaging thousands of participants, by simply offering them a unique and quite different, co-creative lunch experience.

At the Electric cinema in London’s Notting Hill you get a numbered package before the movie starts. During the film, the numbers that correspond with the package are shown in the movie. At that moment you have to eat its content. The way your mouth feels after eating the content corresponds to what happens on the screen, this increases the fully experience.

It’s not necessary anymore to search for pastry shops in Paris. With the new Paris Pastry guide app you are directed to the nearest store. The app shows also reviews, photo’s and opening hours. The app is created by David Lebovitz.

The Flemish cinemas play the film ‘Comme un Chef’. It is a French culinary comedy. A man dreams of a successful and big restaurant, unfortunately this is not financially feasable. One day he meets a great chef which creates new opportunities… The film is in the Dutch cinemas from 26 July.

A Piergarten in NY

At May the 18th (the 4th day of the NY Burger Week) there is a party at Beekman’s Beer Garden Beach Club, located on the East River (mentioned as a Piergarten by Thrillist, we don’t have a piergarten in Europe). We read the announcement on Twitter. We saw inspiring pictures on Thrillist. Would the name Beekman indicate an owner with a Dutch background?

Entrepreneur Island Blueseed

‘Blueseed’ is co-founded by Max Marti, Dario Mutabdzija and lead by Peter Thiel. The floating city will be located in international waters of the Silicon Valley and is especially designed for starting entrepreneurs. The Blueseed project offers living space, work space and entertaiment facilities to foreign start-ups. No more regular showers on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil this summer. The Coca-Cola company came with the ‘Sprite Shower’, luckily the shower is of pure water and not Sprite.

The new swimming pool

Antwerp has a ‘Bathboat’ in August. It contains a swimming pool that floats in the water of the Kattendijkdok. Besides a pool, the boat is also a restaurant, has banquet rooms, a lounge bar and a sun terrace. The goal is that the boat will be ready in August and will host Winter activities as well.
