You can win 10 euros, which is the value of half a night at the budget hotel. There are no set criteria for the form or content, there is no connection needed between the product and movie. They just want as many views as possible through social media. When uploaded videos are watched over a 1000 times, the uploader receives the price.

Fairmont teams up with Le Labo

The luxery hotel chain Fairmont, which operates 60 hotels around the world, announced a partnership with the New York parfumer Le Labo, concerning the in-room amenities. Le Labo’s Rose 31 will form the base of these packages. The “warm, spicy floral and woodsy” products in these packages will include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and soap products.

The historic buildings of South Williamsburg (New York) are soon be put in shade by an ultra modern tower. Oppenheim designed the Williamsburg Hotel to achieve Leed Platinum certification, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED provides a precise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. The hotel wants to realize this by making use of insulation, rainwater collection and renewable energy among other things, by means of solar panels, wind turbines and a geothermic pump.

Hotel-restaurant Villa Ruimzicht, located in Doetichem (in the Netherlands), provides a service where guests order room service by using their Smartphone or tablet pc. Guests can download a free app and scan a QR-code which can be found in the hotel room. A menu appears on the screen in which the guest can order a certain dish or a drink. To offer this service, the hotel uses the ‘Yoursmartbutler’ app, which makes a connection to the register system and communicates the necessary information to the kitchen and to the guest accounts.
