The vegetable glass house of restaurant Vork & Mes is the location of the Groen, Groener, Groente! food congress on September the 24th. Chef Jonathan Karpathios grows most of the vegetables for the restaurant himself and the menu consists 80 percent out of vegetables. After the congress there is a talkshow in Vork & Mes with Niven Kunz, Brenda Frunt, Ruud Wunneberg and Harold Hamersma.

Mobile Gastfreundschaft is a winner of DMY International Design Festival 2012 Award. The project took place in 2011 in Austria, Feldkirch and Vaduz. Mobile Gastfreundschaft pays attention to an important aspect of the design by Chmararosinke; the responsibility and the self initiative in public space. The combination cucumber and ginger Ale tastes very good. The lemon lowers the sweetness of the drink and adds the freshness to it. To prepare your own ‘komkommie’, you can find the recipe here.
In Ratchaburi, Thailand, this tourist hotspot is found. The ‘Body Bakery’ was created by a baker’s son who has a tendency for horror films and has followed an art training course. The sandwiches that are made look real. There are severed heads, but also hands, feet and organs all 100% edible. Therefore, the Body Bakery is not for sensitive souls.
Spanish importer Saborea introduces the first orange wine to The Netherlands. The BURNARJ wine is made with oranges from Vega del Guadalquivir in Andalusia. The alcohol percentage varies from 7 % in the light Semiseco to 11% in the Brut Nature, Brut and normal Semiseco.
