The Ark Hotel by Remistudio is an eco-friendly design for a hotel that is resistant to weather and completely self-sufficient. Wind turbines and solar panels provide energy, and rainwater is collected for use in the hotel.
This mini-movie theater offers seating for 8 adults or 12 children. The LED projector is powered by solar energy.
Restaurant Pasta e Basta, Brings Lech, Austria to the Amstel-river wit the pop-up restaurant Lech am Amstel, in cooperation with Amstelhaven. The restaurant serves Austrian dishes and the mulled wine is not lacking.
The brewery Jopen in Haarlem has a new home. It is not just a church where a brewery is located, but it’s also a restaurant and a grand café. This allows guests to whitness the brewing process with their own eyes, during their meal or while enjoying their drink.
In the Crystal Cube guests can enjoy a culinary meal and winterscenes at an altitude of 2600 meters. Because the Crystal Cube has glass on all sides, guests will have a wonderful view on the different peaks and the clear blue sky. The menu includes champagne and fresh oysters in lime juice and beef tartare with toast and butter.
The London freelance chef Frank Hannon has launched his own take-out service, “Friday Night Takeout”. Every Friday the chef sells different meals from home. People can choose to have the meals delivered between 17:00 hour and 19:30. Hannon also prepares vegetarian meals on request.
In the streets of the Italian city of Ferrara a special pop-up restaurant concept is offered. The location of the restaurant is sent by text right before the dinner. Persons who have registered in advance receive a message with clues to the right location. Each course of the dinner is offered in a different venue, guests will receive instructions to the next location after each course. The ‘street dinners costs € 60,=.
Staying in a self-sufficient and energy-neutral capsule floating on the mudflats is the new attraction in Friesland, The Netherlands. The construction of the capsule will start within two months and will be in the Waddensea in 2012. The capsule can accommodate up to four people and aboard the floater guests van cook, shower, sleep and eat. With this float technicians want people to feel the of the Wadden.
The catering company Premium Cocktails is specialized in cocktails. The mobile bars can be rented on (business) events. The cocktails will be adjusted to the wishes of the organizer and the type of party. Premium Cocktails also offers as workshops.
