The new lobster and fish restaurant ‘The Lobster House + Studio’ opens its doors on the Frederiksplein in Amsterdam. You can go there for a dinner with oysters or lobsters but also for fresh sandwiches, salades and pasta with fish. The restaurant is located in an old parking garage. That gifs it an industrial look and feel. Look at the website for the menu.

Luxury eco hotel at Antarctica

At Whichaway Eco Camp explorers get the chance to experience the Antarctic comfortably, and sustainable. Guests can stay the overnight in one of six tents. The tents look like oversized golf balls. The frameless structures are made of aerospace composite panels that slot together to have the strength of a normal building and the mobility of a tent. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and a desk. The camp consists of two more tents where you’ll find the dining area, library, kitchen and communications area. Brewery provides night buses in Ghent

In the Belgian city Ghent, an interesting partnership started between the municipality and De Koninck beer brewery. The company De Lijn which provides public transport in Ghent, had to cancel the night services due to budget cuts. But due to the collaboration at the municipality and the brewery, the buses will still drive during the night. There will be no major changes for the passengers, only the look of the buses change. The timetable and tickets will remain the same.
Pick up point Albert Heijn

Albert Heijn introduces a brand new service; ‘Albert Heijn Pick Up Point’. Customers order their groceries at AlbertHeijn.nl. The supermarket does the shopping for them and the next day they receive a sms to confirm the order and pick-up location. The service is free and the first Pick Up Point opened in Heemstede. Albert Heijn wants to expand the service, which is already offered in Naarden and Tilburg.

In the end of November Steffy Roos du Maine opend a new initiative, Books & Bubbles in Amsterdam. This new crossover consists of: a bookstore and a place for small gatherings and events with bubbles. There will also be flex work places available and there are plans for winetastings and bookevenings. Books & Bubbles also offers original gifts and homely decorations.

Delivery service Cardrops innovates to use the car of the customer as mailbox, and hopes to have the solution to this annoyance. The Cardrops software tracks the daily parking routine to deliver the order. With this new option, online buyers don’t have to wait at home or at a pick-up point.

International Club The Hague

On Saturday November 17, International Club The Hague will open her doors officially. This is an informal social club for expats, and the family and friends of these internationals in The Hague, located in the former city hall at the Javastraat. International Club The Hague features a restaurant, including a chef’s table, a bar, a wine cellar, tv room, smoker’s lounge, library and a children’s room.
