Announced today via Twitter: This Friday opens pop-up espresso bar SOK. It’s the new pop-up espressobar from Onno van Zanten, Sander Schat and Kees Kraakman. The name SOK represents the first letters of the initiators: Sander, Onno and Kees. The esspresso bar will open at the Hartenstraat 34, Amsterdam.
Butler For Hire’s service in the Netherlands offers a new service, the picnic butler, from April to August in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. When booked, a butler is sent to the park to set up the picnic, included with crystal glasses, picnic rugs, china crockery and pillows. Once the picnickers are ready to go home, a phone call to Butler For Hire signals it is time for the butler to return and clean up.

Urban Green is an initiative of the Dutch interior designer Mark van der Geest and focuses on urban residents. Urban Green offers a wide range of flowers, plants and accessories for balconies. There are plans for a new 10-room, design hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. The owner of the hotel is “Droog Design”. After having opened stores in Tokyo, New York and Dubai, they now choose to open their own design hotel.
