At the Design fair in Milan, Heineken placed the crowd-sourced night club concept. This yearlong design exploration project, is created through the progressive minds of 19 emerging designers from across the globe, resulted in a prototype of a futuristic night club. OOIIO Architecture designed an open space on the lower level of a new hotel in Reykjavik that can be used as a theater, including restaurants, shops and the hotel lobby facing it. The Water Discus Hotel in Dubai is a hotel that is partially located under water. The 21 rooms are below the surface of the sea. The windows of the rooms are high, so you have a good view of the sea life. The restaurant, spa and reception are above the waterline. It’s unknown when the hotel opens.
The two French inventors Phillipe Starck and David Edwards have developed a spray that makes you temporarily drunk. To stimulate your brain you need only 0,075 ml of the ‘Wahh Quantum Sensations’. The drunkenness you get then is not a state but more a emotion, this make you feel light headed but you don’t lose your senses. A spray costs 20 euros and sprays 21 times.
