Two former circus clowns recently launched Cirque Cuisine, a big tent-themed food truck that has been serving up organic global cuisine since late February. There are always gluten free and vegetarian and vegan dishes. Healthy reinterpretations of classic carnival fare, like funnel cakes, popcorn and cotton candy are also available.

To celebrate British talent 2012 Olympic Games, British Airways are launching an exclusive airline-themed pop-up venue on Shoreditch High Street in London next month. ‘Flight BA2012’ has been exclusively designed to recreate a premium flying experience and looks like the inside of an aircraft. Guests can enjoy a three-course meal created by Michelin-star chef Simon Hulstone that is inspired by the Olympic Games and BA in-flight menus dating back to 1948. BA2012 will be open on select weekdays from April 4th to the 17th.

Homeless become wifi-hotspots

The annual festival South by Southwest (SxSW) which takes place in Austin (Texas), created the “Homeless Hotspots” as a charitable initiative to help support the homeless populations. SxSW attendees can pay to access the 4G wireless network. The homeless person acting as a Wi-Fi hotspot, wearing a “I’m a 4G hotspot” t-shirt. Attendees were encouraged to donate $2 for every 15 minutes of use.

You order on screen, you pay on screen and then you watch the status of your order as it progresses through the kitchen. Velo serves traditional Vietnamese street food – light, tasty and healthy.

With the KettlePizza, the humble kettle grill gains a new skill: cooking pizza like a proper oven. The KettlePizza is an insert that goes between the top and bottom part of a kettle grill and is made from stainless steel. The fitting is made of stainless steel and has a thermometer.

Students of the Rijn IJssel College in Arnhem (the Netherlands) won the first prize with a milk cube for in the coffee. The milk cube looks the same as a lump of sugar, but is made of milk powder and stays edible for 3 years. The company won the prize as Best Overall Company during the International Student Company Festival in Riga.

Russian Babochki Anticafé lets consumers drink and eat for free, but they are charged by the minutes they spend in the café. Creating a space where consumers can relax and pursue their favorite diversions, the venue offers tea, coffee and desserts at no charge, guests can bring their own refreshments as well. An assortment of board games, Xbox games, wifi and a cinema hall are on hand for entertainment.

Richard Branson was in Australia for the launch of Virgin Money’s new Low Rate Credit Card and he topped up some cards with cash for a staff celebration but then somehow misplaced them. Now there are five cards worth $1,299 each and anybody could find them! There are 5 cards to be found and each one comes with $1,299. They could be anywhere in Australia, but all you need to do is guess their location via Facebook and maybe the cash is yours.

The Berkeley London designer afternoon tea, Prêt-à-Portea, is inspired by the themes and colours of the fashion world. The menu is transformed every six months to follow the changing seasons in fashion. Prêt-à-Portea is served at the Caramel Room daily from 1pm to 6pm.
