The Green Wall is a wall made of Norwegian reindeer moss. It was created by, Akoestische Zaken, located in Rotterdam and improves the acoustics of a room. On HORECAVA 2011 the wall received the prize for best innovation in the hospitality industry.
In Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Rotterdam and Groningen Dr. Oetker temporary opend Italian ‘Tradizionale’ stores. In these pop-up stores, Dr. Oetker’s new brick oven Tradizionale pizza are introduced. In these stores dr. Oetker want to offer customers the experience that comes with the new pizza. The brick oven pizza is available at the pop-up stores in two flavors: Speciale and tuna.
The Cubi is a kind of Ikea kit, developed by TomorrowToday. The Cubi is composed of five prefabricated modules where you can sleep, wash, work and cook. The Cubi can be built in one day and together they form a complete apartment or in large quantities even a hotel. Starting next year, Cubi’s are located in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Groningen and Eindhoven.
On November 17th the Dutch bag designer Omar Munie opened a new store in Rotterdam. In this store he sells his bags and during the weekends a Bag & Tea is offered on the first floor of the building. During a high tea, the customers can search for the perfect bag. Munie wants to give his customers a relaxed feeling of being together. The menu offers sweets like cupcakes but also several savory dishes as quiche and sambusa.
Bigfish in Rotterdam, The Netherlands will set up his own pop-up restaurant. The location is still a secret. Bigfish organizes events, catering and sets up concepts like pop up restaurants. Reservations can be made online, and guests receive a password.
The popular chef’s table at restaurant Ivy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is now being auctioned. Up to 10 days in advance people can place their bids. The minimum bid is € 1.350,= and for the amount of € 3.000,=, the table is directly yours!

After a successful trial in Rotterdam, Domino’s pizza only wants to use electric scooters for pizza delivery within two years. The scooters are less polluting and more quite. The only problem now is that the battery runs-out rather quickly.

This project gives clubowners the ability to quickly and easily request exemption from the curfew via textmessages. Businessowners may request to their company to keep open until 06:00 ten times a year via textmessages, instead of a written permision two weeks in advance.
