At 15 August the Ibis Rotterdam City Centre opened its doors at the ‘Wijnhaven’ area in Rotterdam. To get guests acquainted with the hotel before opening, blogger Josie of maryjosie.com was invited to live in the hotel for two weeks (one week before opening and one week after opening). In this way, the blogger could share her experiences in and around the hotel, but also give the hotel an insight for an optimal guest experience. The Ibis Rotterdam City Centre organized several activities, starting off with an hotspot tour with 19 co-bloggers. The bloggers all agreed that the location is one of the USP’s of the hotel. The ‘Wijnhaven’, what is both located in the city centre and in the harbor, is an upcoming urban development area. This makes the area very attractive to live, work and stay in.

Overheated World Cup fans receive ice cold treat

9-7-2014

Russian soccer fans, who were in Brazil for the World Cup, were treated to a six-pack of ‘Skol’ beer entirely encased in ice. The unique packaging was designed to chill the beer without freezing it and included a handle for easy transportation. The ice-pack was designed as a reminder that packaging can be both beautiful and multifunctional. Although the video is spoken in Russian and Portuguese, the reactions speaks for themselves..

TWEAK

2-7-2014

TWEAK doesn’t just keep your kitchen sink draining smoothly, but solves the problem of scooping cold leftovers out of the sink with your bare fingers. We don’t think that this, via kickstarter (crowd funding platform) financed product, will be used in a lot of professional kitchens. But in the smaller kitchens this silicone washing strainer can be useful.

For those who will be watching our WK game this evening #NedChi, we wish you a lot of fun and many goals. For the next matches of the orange team, bar owners can still invest in urinal mats with a football goal. In the Netherlands, among others for sale with the seller of the bottlebob. And of course quite useful because with the way we’re winning a lot of beer will be drunk!

Fries shop Bram Ladage has opened a new location in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. This was also the start of the new formula style of the famous Dutch fries shop chain. A style that matches the method and the story of Bram Ladage. Bram Ladage emphazises the origin, authenticity and the story of the potato from the ground to the fresh fries. However, the current stores didn’t radiate that feeling yet. No snack bar, cafeteria or fast food restaurant, but the new formula style radiates where Bram Ladage stands for: traditional, authentic and pure. A shop where they do something great with potato’s.
