The new gift bottle by Grolsch focuses specifically on women. On the limited edition bottle are two toatsing, glamorous women with the line ‘to 2011’. The bottle was designed by the Dutch fashion illustrator Piet Paris. In 2009 Paris already designed a coaster. The bottle of 1.5 liters is for sale for € 12.95.

The idea was to use advertising techniques that are used to promote junk food and apply that to small healthy carrots. Scientists in Taiwan created an environmentally friendly alternative to streetlights. They developed a luminous tree. By applying golden nanoparticles to the leaves of a Bacopa plant, the leaves light up. In the future, they think of using this technique on roadsides to save energy costs and to reduce the CO2-emissions.

On November 17th the Dutch bag designer Omar Munie opened a new store in Rotterdam. In this store he sells his bags and during the weekends a Bag & Tea is offered on the first floor of the building. During a high tea, the customers can search for the perfect bag. Munie wants to give his customers a relaxed feeling of being together. The menu offers sweets like cupcakes but also several savory dishes as quiche and sambusa.
