Bamboo Bike is a unique project by Calfeedesign. Calfeedesign is located in California, but after a promotional trip to Africa they were inspired by the continent. Nowadays Calfeedesign owns two factories in Ghana providing the local population with jobs and so contributing to the development of third world countries.

Perhaps the smallest pop-up hotel as a promotional stunt for the city of London. The caravan, which is nine meters, has everything you would expect in hotel, from a check-in desk to a bathroom. People who are interested may participate in a competition om March 7th. The winners will stay in the caravan from March 15th to 19th.

In several communitycentres in Amsterdam, Repair Café takes place every month. People can come with their broken furniture, clothing or computers and try to fix it. Tools are provided by the community centre.
Beerpints made from safetyglass

Design Bridge has developed two new pints, which are much safer than traditional pints. The prototypes consist of Glass Plus (left photo) and Twin Wall (right photo). Glass Plus has a thin, transparent layer of organic resin on the inside and Twin Wall consists of two ultra-thin layers of glass which are joined together, similar to glass in car windshields. Both prototypes ensure that when the glass breaks, the dangerous glass shards are held together securely.

At the airport of Sao Paulo, Brasil, these luggage carts are available. By the image of the Paralympic athlete it looks as if a wheelchair is pushed forward. Howerver, this is a fund raising campaign for athletes. So that they are able to attend the paralympics.
