Nowadays we see the most amazing recipes on the television. 24Kitchen focuses on food and will start at the first of October to broadcast cooking shows 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These shows vary from simple do-it-yourself programs to culinary discovery journeys abroad. Most broadcasters send the signal at channel 24, there is also an app and an interactive website integrated in their multi media platform. The daily renewed episodes are programmed multiple times a day to reach different audiences. So check your shopping list at your smartphone, put the television in the kitchen, cook along and ask your questions via the website or Twitter.

The new app Tripanomanly calculates the reliablity of an airline or a flight. By entering several data and your flight number, the app shows how reliable the airline is. A new report has shown that in London the next few years the amount of Boutique hotels will grow rapidly. London will be the host of the Olympic Games in 2012, which is mainly the cause of the growth. The expectation is a doubling in the amount of rooms in 2013. The new boutique hotels will be operated by well-known brands and other local entrepreneurs.

The “Hôtel Thoumieux” is a new creation of the designers Thierry Costes and India Mahdavi. The hotel is situated above the popular “Thoumieux Brasserie” in Paris. The interior might look old-fashioned, but this is all according to the style of the designers. The hotel features 15 rooms.
Pop-up cocktail bar

Max Messier is the creator behind the popular ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’ cocktail pop-up bar. He creates cocktails which are seasonal concoctions, made of hand-made vermouths, bitters and syrups. Due to its great success, the cocktail bar also pops-up at informal locations at people’s homes. This summer he opened a cocktail bar in Brooklyn.
L’Opera restaurant

Recently the French architect Odile Decq has completed the L’ Opera restaurant. The restaurant, situated in Palais Garnier in Paris is astonishing. The decoration of the restaurant preserves that typical character of the theater and gives it a modern touch, without alternating of the walls. The red and white colors remind of the musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.

The Austrian company Nectar and Pulse offers a new kind of ‘travel guide’. When looking for tips and suggestions of a particular city, they choose a personal guide (as they call it a ‘soulmate’) who gives you tips. This ‘soulmate’ is chosen by similar interests and personalities. This service is currently available for Londen, Vienna and Stockholm.

Recently the first library on a train station (in Dutch Bibliotheek op het station) has opened its doors. This is the first library placed on a train station, specially created for the daily travelers. The travelers can borrow books, magazines and they can go online. In the future more libraries will be opening on train stations in the Netherlands.
