Ever wondered how a bowling alley works? At Powerzone Lovers Bowling in Amsterdam it’s all visible from the street. The walls are transparent so the white lanes, UV-lights and colourfull LED lights spread a futuristic glow to its surroundings. There is a laser-game area as well.
Instead of ordinairy lighting there are many modifications possible with light. Examples are the Peel Wall Light by Yoy or these Torn Lights concept by Billy May.
A Sign in Space is an art installation that is visible from 21 July to 2 September at Spain’s Laga Beach. The artwork by Gunilla Klingberg is embossed into the sand at low tide, only to be washed away at high tide. A Sign in Space is part of the larger international art project, Sense and Sustainability.

In the Portuguese city Guimarães, LIKEarchitects and fashion designer Ricardo Dourado are providing enough refreshment. Fountains of the city are transformed to mini swimming pools. These Fountain Hacks won the Performance Architecture award for urban interventions, part of the European Capital of Culture.
Grolsch gives away free gadgets and tickets this summer. In the second challenge of the contest there are Lowlands tickets to win. The beer brand uses a mix of online, offline and mobile marketing for this promotion. Ads with QR-codes are placed at different blogs and websites each day, these locations are traceable by messages on the Grolsch Twitter account.

Big Appetites is an exhibition of artist Chistopher Boffoli. With this photo’s he is referencing to as well a cultural fascination with tiny things as well as an American enthusiasm for excess. This exhibition is open to visit between the 21st of July through August 24th in New York.
