Professor Grunschnabel makes exclusive and classic ice-cream flavors without preservatives, added sugar and binders. There are around 100 selling points in the Netherlands. The ice-cream brand would like to grow and to increase the capacity. Therefore the brand needs money and asks fans for help to buy a new ice-cream machine. If you manage to collect 50 people that each donate €30,- , the lab comes to your place to produce ice-cream. The Overstay Checkout

Art Series hotels and Naked communications have created the ‘Overstay Checkout’. This service lets guests check out anytime until another guest arrives. If the room isn’t booked, guests can choose to checkout a few hours later, or even a few days later, for free! On the morning of departure, guests can call the reception to request Overstay Checkout, and they’ll be informed exactly for how long they can stay, depending on when the next guests are set to arrive. The Overstay Checkout is offered to guests of Art Series Hotels from December 16th untill January 13th 2013.

It started in the airline industry and hotels are offering different prices during the weekends; yield management. Slowly it appears in restaurants and other branches. A nice example is Restaurant Diverso in Nederweert (the Netherlands). On Monday till Thursday, they offering a special discount menu which will change each month.
Crowd funded beer from 1463

The Voor en door Goor foundation will herintroduce an ancient special beer brew from 1463. The project will be financed by crowd funding. The aim is to build a brewery in Goor, that will function as a tourist magnet.

Sauna day for breast cancer patients

Newly opened wellness center ‘Sauna Swoll’ initiated the first wellness day for breast cancer patients together with after care center ‘Intermezzo’. Breast cancer often leads to breast amputation and can be a reason for patients to avoid wellness centers. The wellness center is open on 23rd of September from 11.00 to 21.00 o’clock.
Washing dishes to pay the bill

Some people joke around, if you cannot pay the bill, you will end up in the kitchen to do the dishes. Scotch-Brite, a Brazilian supplier of cleaning supplies, started a marketing campaign to reach the younger target. In several restaurants in Sao Paulo, people receive, when asking for the bill, a Scotch-Brite sponge that read, “Don’t want to pay the bill? Go wash the dishes”.
