Restaurant without a kitchen by Bavaria

Beer brand Bavaria is launching in association with home delivery food website Thuisbezorgd.nl, the first pop-up restaurant without a kitchen. Between the 13th and 16th of February it is possible to compose your favorite home delivery meal of the best valued restaurants of this website. The restaurant will be equipped with a scooter lane to deliver the meals to the guests. The restaurant will be situated on the ‘Kop van Java’ in Amsterdam.

Brewery provides night buses in Ghent

In the Belgian city Ghent, an interesting partnership started between the municipality and De Koninck beer brewery. The company De Lijn which provides public transport in Ghent, had to cancel the night services due to budget cuts. But due to the collaboration at the municipality and the brewery, the buses will still drive during the night. There will be no major changes for the passengers, only the look of the buses change. The timetable and tickets will remain the same.

New tourist center in Belgium

On Sunday November 25, tourist center Historium opens its doors in Brugge (Belgium). Seven themed rooms show the tourists how the city looks like centuries ago. The center features a grand beer café, called Duvelorium, which is created in association with brewery Duvel Moortgat and designed by Puresang. The interior consists of traditional materials combined with contemporary aspects. Duvelorium is opened every day of the week.

Movuz 95-Range

The Dutch manufacturer Movuz is specialized in stainless steel mobile kitchen systems for both professional and private use. They introduced an innovative new concept, called the ’95-Range’, which entails several different mobile units such as a Beermobil, a Cookmobil (which includes a teppan yaki system) and a Coolmobil.

Smart coasters

Laus Beers developed these smart coasters. The condensation from the beer glass would wet the coaster and reveals a message: ‘How about a beer? And a ride? If you drink don’t drive.’ The impact was right on target when drinking the very first glass. The customer could stop drinking in time, or think of a safe alternative for getting home.

Broeder Jacob Double Espresso

The recently launched Belgium coffee-beer ‘Broeder Jacob Double Espresso’ is a perect marriage, according brothers Johan Claes of Brewery Broeder Jacob and business man Wim Claes of coffee-roasting factory Java. This dark brown beer holds an alcohol percentage of 7,7%. The used coffee which will be mixed during the brewing, is made the Turkish way, before adding this to the process. The beer is available in bottles of 75 cl, but from next year it will be available in small bottles of 33 cl and kegs as well.

‘Antwerpen Proeft’ (Antwerp Tastes) is Belgium’s culinary highlight this summer. Chefs with a 15+ ranking in the Gault&Millau BeLux will cook all-in arrangements as well as bites for visitors. The Chéfs that participate this year are Viki Geunes (‘t Zilte), Wouter Keersmaekers (De Schone van Boskoop), Axel Colonna-Cesari (Centpourcent), Dave De Belder (De Godevaart) and Kaasaffineurs Michel Van Tricht & Zoon (cheese and beer pairing experts).

 

Next to the prominent chefs there are local and artisanal products like hand made Moon Pops ice creams.

The beer brand uses a mix of online, offline and mobile marketing for this promotion.
