Delta Airlines and restaurant operator OTG Management on JFK and LaGuardia Airport in New York launched a new initiative. Passengers can order food from participating restaurants(at the airport) near departure gates in various special iPad kiosks. The food is then delivered at the gate within ten minutes. Besides ordering the iPads can also be used for checking flights and playing music.

Iceland Express Airline is the first European company who offers IPAD’s to travelers. The iPad will be offered on flights from Reykjavik to London, New York, Berlin and Copenhagen. Passengers pay 13 dollars to listen to music, watching movies and TV,  read magazines en play games on the iPad. Unfortunately, the passengers have to return the Ipad after the flight.

The trend of more green in the cities continued with temporary walk-in gardens in Paris. From 26 to 28 November 2010 people in this town could enjoy a wide range of indoor plants in four places. The four gardens in Paris were an initiative of Ma Bulle Ma Plante & Moi in cooperation with the Dutch Flower Council.

PEGA design studio in Taiwan has developed a foldable paper teapot called Dao Cha. The tea bag is already built inside the pot. The package also contains a foldable cup, making it possible to drink tea anywhere. Through crowdsourcing on social networks, they hope to get as many ideas as possible about the interior, the facade, color and menu. Every week they post online polls to determine the final concept of the restaurant.
