Due to its great success, the cocktail bar also pops-up at informal locations at people’s homes. This summer he opened a cocktail bar in Brooklyn.
Pop-up restaurant Greenhouse by Joost will soon be opening a restaurant outside Australia, in London. Greenhouse restaurant is about designing and operating better places for people, from lightning to the menu. They are also working on a permanent location in Melbourne.
Lemonade brand Roosvicee has a temporary flagship taste store at the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam. Visitors can taste the new flavors and leave a ‘It’s gonna be allright, baby’ message until the 27th of August.
One of his preferred lines is ‘In Coffee We Trust’ and the love for food, drinks and Italy is visible in much of his works. This pop up contemporary art exposition located at Rokin 75 (Amsterdam) is open daily from 13.00 – 20.00 o’clock until the 21st of July.
After exclusive pop-up picknicks in Montreal, Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin it is New York where the concept ‘Le Diner en Blanc’ unfolds on the 25th of August. The dinner guests must be dressed in white and bring their own table, chairs and food. The location is secret untill a few minutes before the start of the dinner.
To celebrate the shortest night of the year, the OpenluchtHotel (Open Air Hotel) will be organized for the second time during the night of the 21st of June in Leiden (Netherlands). The city will be transformed to the largest hotel in the world. About 130 guests will have the oppertunity to sleep under the sky filled with stars, on special and monumental locations, which are disigned by artists. Before bedtime a cultural evening program will take place.
A modern twist on the American drive-in movie theaters, is the bike-in movie theater, organized by marketing agency Manifold and food blog Forking Tasty. This free event, where hundreds of cyclists were attracted to, took place in Brooklyn, New York and was organized to celebrate summer and bike month. Due to the success more events like this one, will be organized.
“Rollende keukens” or ‘Rolling Kitchen’ is a concept where music, food and beverages meet and are served from mobile kitchens. This event takes place from the 2nd untill the 5th of June at the Culturepark Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. From haute cuisine stands to excentric pizzamakers or a barbecue motorhome, it can all be seen here. Entry is free of charge.
Several guests received an invitation to take the subway in New York on the 1st of May, where they were treated with a superfast 6 course dinner, organised by chefs of the supper club A Razor, A Shiny Knife. The subway changed into a pop-up restaurant where small luxery dishes where served. The dinner took only 22 minutes.
