The Lindner hotels in Germany have ‘kidnapped’ vacations from June 22 till September 7 By the theme: Wir haben Ihren Urlaub. The ‘kidnapped’ rooms are available after the ‘ransom’ is payed. During this period every participating Lindner Hotel has a few rooms for a low fare available.

The Hostelle woman hotel is built in the old headquaters of the Bijenkorf/Hema. Bianca Brasdorp is responsible for the design of the rooms, she focuses mainly on the age group between 16 and 55 years old. In the hotel you will find graffiti, large QR codes on canvas with information about the art museums in Amsterdam. A Chinese room, a Marie Antoinette room and a pink bathroom with a Hello-Kitty-toilet. In short, a real woman domain.
McDonald’s Timetable

At the main train station Warschau in Poland you can see this McDonald’s Timetable. At the Timetable you can see the departure times of the train and it also tells you how long you should wait in burgers, colas, chips and ice creams. This way you can assess whether you have time to eat something. Watch the video.

The temporary pop-up restaurant À la Plancha next to the Maas in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, prepares fresh seafood in the front of the customer. Between Thursday the 5th of July and Sunday 15th July fish lovers can eat here.

Wine bar ‘Het Eigendom’ in Rotterdam created, according their own words, the ideal terrace. The terrace features high benches, wherefor both the sitting guests as well the standing guests can chat on the same eye level. The terrace is covered with a burgundy sail for the French accent.

Almost unimaginable, but there is a shop hided behind these walls. The Brazilian architect Alan Chu designed this secret shop for a local tea brand in a shopping center in São Paulo. During opening hours the wall transforms into a fully equipped shop.
The secret of Kimchi

Kimchi are fermented vegetables and pastes, which are eaten in South Korea as a side dish. The lactic fermentation ensures strong tastes and odors, similar to the “fifth taste” of umami, the natural flavor enhancer in Japanese dishes. Kimchi is the fifth taste of the Korean cuisine. This is taken to Belgium by two star chef Sang-Hoon Degeimbre, born in South Korea, but raised in Belgium. He uses Kimchi in his French-oriented cuisine for the Korean accents.
