LNGVTY introduces the first data-driven certification that measures how effectively hotels support quality sleep, recovery, and healthy lifestyle habits. Hotels in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can apply from August 1. Under the motto ‘Verifying Longevity’, LNGVTY evaluates hotels using a uniform, data-driven methodology, making their regenerative quality transparent and comparable for guests.<\/p>\n

Verifying Longevity launches on August 1 for hotels and resorts in the DACH region<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Although more and more hotels are promoting wellness, recovery, or longevity, many guests still find it difficult to sleep well, eat healthily, and maintain their daily exercise and recovery routines while travelling. To bring greater transparency to this growing market, LNGVTY<\/a> is launching a new certification and assessment platform for the hospitality industry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (the DACH region).<\/p>\n

From August 1, hotels and resorts across the DACH region can apply for the first assessment round via the LNGVTY website. The first certified properties will be announced in phases. Depending on their score and the depth of the assessment, hotels will receive the status of Featured, Approved, or Certified. Achieving the highest level, Certified, also requires an on-site inspection.<\/p>\n

Traditional hotel star ratings no longer meet the needs of the growing longevity market<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to co-founder Valerie Constanze Dietrich<\/a>, the assessment goes far beyond traditional hotel star ratings or standalone wellness facilities. “LNGVTY evaluates the longevity quality of hotels across eight fixed dimensions, combining quantitative and qualitative guest experiences into one reproducible score.”<\/p>\n

Co-founder Kai Oppel<\/a> believes there is growing demand for this type of information. “More travellers are prioritising sleep, exercise, nutrition, and recovery. Yet during their stay they often encounter practical obstacles, such as rooms that cannot be fully darkened, noise disturbances, limited fitness facilities, or minibars without healthy alternatives. By making these aspects transparent, hotels can improve their offering and increase guest satisfaction.”<\/p>\n

According to Dietrich, these shortcomings are particularly noticeable in higher-end hotels. “Guests deliberately search, book, and pay for facilities such as wellness or fitness. However, once they arrive, those expectations are often not fully met. Traditional hotel star ratings no longer provide sufficient guidance in this area.”<\/p>\n

Eight assessment dimensions, one score<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The LNGVTY Score is based on eight weighted assessment criteria. Sleep quality carries the greatest weight at 24%, followed by noise and tranquillity (15%), wellness & recovery (14%), nutrition & room service (14%), guest experience (9%), stress and stress reduction (9%), lighting and blackout facilities (8%), air quality and indoor climate (8%), and fitness (8%).<\/p>\n

Rather than relying on individual reviews, the score is based on recurring experiences reported by large numbers of guests.<\/p>\n

Guidance for guests, a competitive advantage for hotels<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to Dietrich, many hotels already offer facilities that support a healthier stay, but these are often viewed in isolation. LNGVTY therefore evaluates the complete guest experience surrounding recovery and well-being rather than individual amenities.<\/p>\n

Hotels that successfully complete the Verifying Longevity assessment receive an editorial profile and their LNGVTY Score on the platform. Depending on their certification level, they can also use digital badges, communication materials, and physical awards in their own marketing.<\/p>\n
