On Wednesday 27 May, The Longest Table will take place at Oosterdok in Amsterdam, a charity dinner organised by Refugee Company and A Beautiful Mess. At an exceptionally long table, which is ultimately expected to stretch one kilometre, guests are invited for an evening of connection, shared dining and support for projects helping people with refugee backgrounds. One of the most eye-catching elements of the evening is a 27-metre sushi roll, prepared by DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station in collaboration with Sushi Time.<\/p>\n

De Langste Tafel (The Longest Table)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Longest Table<\/a> is designed to bring together people who would not naturally meet in everyday life. Visitors can purchase one metre of table from \u20ac250, including two seats with dinner and drinks, while directly contributing to Refugee Company\u2019s<\/a> programmes. Proceeds support community caf\u00e9s, courses and training programmes that help people with refugee backgrounds on their path towards employment and participation in society.<\/p>\n

Shared dining at Oosterdok<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The charity dinner takes place at A Beautiful Mess<\/a>, located at Oosterdokskade 227, and runs from 17:00 to 23:00. Throughout the evening, dishes will be served in a shared dining format, curated by the chefs of A Beautiful Mess and other partners around Oosterdok. DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station<\/a> contributes tiramisu in collaboration with Dessert Direct<\/a>. However, the 27-metre sushi roll by Sushi Time<\/a>, created together with DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, will be the evening\u2019s culinary showpiece.<\/p>\n
